Wren

The Scavenger

Unmourned

“Went into the Undercroft for copper and stayed for good.”

Wren worked the Undercroft the way the careful ones do, a little deeper each run, never the same passage twice. The Carrion bought her copper and asked no questions, which to her was as close to friendship as the trade gets. She went down for a cache another scavenger swore was untouched. It was not the find that was the lie. No one came back up to correct the record.
