Grayborn

Grayborn

The bombs killed fast. The Gray killed more.

That was eight years ago. The sky has cleared since, the famine has broken, and the people the Gray made are still standing. They hold a stretch of dead interstate called the Corridor, where five factions keep an uneasy peace over never quite enough to go around. This is their world, and you are about to live a life in it.

Who will you be?

What is the Gray?

After the bombs came the years without a real sky. Soot in the stratosphere. Three growing seasons that gave almost nothing. The famine killed more people than the warheads did, and it took longer about it.

Survivors called those years the Gray. They don't talk much about what they did to get through them.

The people who came out the other side — and the ones born into it who never knew anything else — are the Grayborn. That is where the name comes from. Not a faction, not a flag. Just what you are if the Gray is the world that made you.

A Game Master that never repeats

An AI narrates every scene and plays every survivor you meet, answering what you actually do, not a branching script. The rules underneath (fights, prices, the road, who comes after you) are the game's own, so they hold. No two runs of the Corridor are the same.

Permadeath. No undo.

Death is permanent. Bad deals stay made. There is no retry, no rollback, no resurrection. The Corridor does not rewind, and neither do we.

A world that remembers

Five factions track what you have done. Your kills, your debts, and the deals you broke all stick. Cross one badly enough and they send someone with a name who remembers you. Your journal keeps the story so far.

Inside the Corridor

A world built to be lived in

Five factions that each keep people alive and get people killed. The places between them, drawn from a real world bible. None of them is the villain. None of them is your friend.

Pick how long you stay

No tier buys power in the world. Same factions, same companions, same odds at every tier. Money buys play time, more parallel lives, and narration read aloud at the top, never an edge inside the story.

Recurring fees cover recurring costs. Every turn runs on live LLMs and live systems, and no two games are ever the same. Subscribing keeps the Corridor running and funds our early access and active development.

New

There's always a way out

  • A new Leave button lists every place you can reach from where you stand, with the days, the danger and whether you have the supplies. Saying you want out of a place opens it too, and the way out is never a trap.
  • Every background now starts with food and water for the road, and the Scavenger's find is a real item you can sell.

Everyone who survived the Gray did something they won't talk about.

Grayborn is where you find out what you would have done.
